About us

Hello! We are Ana and Àlvar, a couple from Barcelona who have always liked to travel and discover small hotels with charm that offer close treatment, warmth, tranquility and respect for the environment. When we found an accommodation that met these conditions, it always remained in our memory. One day we decided to make our dream come true, to open a rural house that managed to offer what we have always liked to find in our rooms. We got started and when we discovered Cal Tous, we immediately realized that we had found the perfect place. At Cal Tous we are not looking for luxury, but for quality, details and comfort. Our goal is for you to be able to disconnect and feel special during your stay.

More information

In the surrounding area, in an environment marked by forests with a wide variety of flora and fauna and with rivers where you can refresh yourself in the summer, you can go hiking and cycling, with routes for all levels that we will be happy to recommend to you.

Rojals, a small mountain village with only 41 inhabitants and a history that not only dates back to the Middle Ages, but goes much further back, almost to the origins of humanity. Many find it hard to believe that a village of this size could be so rich, but behind these six letters in its name lies a very rich place in terms of culture and nature. In fact, it is the highest inhabited village in the Prades Mountains Protected Natural Area, located at 979 meters above sea level.

The charm of Rojals lies precisely in the preservation of its history and heritage. The town maintains its medieval essence intact, complemented by a heritage declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. In the town centre, the cobbled houses stand out and, above all, the parish church of Sant Salvador, also known as the church of the Transfiguration of the Lord. Finally, it is worth mentioning the viewpoint dedicated to Mossèn Armand Puig, which offers spectacular views of the Conca de Barberà and the Pyrenees on clear days.

Rojals is an excellent starting point for exploring the region on foot or by mountain bike. Hiking trails traverse the cliffs and ravines surrounding the town, offering wild and ferocious views described by the writer Antoni Palau i Dulcet as “millenary witnesses to geological upheavals”.
